I guess I'm a bit late in my submission, but better late than never, right?
Although no one can truly say they know much about the current situation (except for those involved, persé), I'd like to show my support for Jark. No, I have never personally met him, or talked to him, but without him I would not be a part of this wonderful community. It makes me strive to be a better artist, and even a better person. Without deviantART, I know I wouldn't be anywhere near where I am today (though I know I still have quite a ways to go ^^'), but also that dA will also help me to continue to grow.
I can't imagine what it's like to be cast out in running something you in part, largely created...especially something as large as deviantART...and I hope I never have to know. For all the time and effort put into it...the situation amazes me, and I feel bad that this has happened to him. If I could, I would give Jark a great big hug Alas, he is in Japan, so this is the best I can do.
Thank you Jark, and the best of luck to whatever comes your way in the future!
Wow, wonderful job. It's adorable!
I also must say I agree with all that you've said about this mess. I am in the same position as you and have a similar stance on all this. I couldn't have stated it better.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
When it comes to community spirit, `Rushy is a shining example. From participating in devmeets, to providing positive encouragement to other artists, `Rushy can always be found demonstrating what it really takes to be a true deviant. It's without any hesitation that we are delighted to award the Deviousness Award for July 2009 to `RushyRead More
