I'd like to sincerely apologize to all of my watchers, and all of the people that I watch.

Since classes started I have had minuscule free time, and I have been extremely stressed. When I have had time, I can't say I wanted to spend it on DA sifting through hundreds of new deviations and messages. The past couple months have been pretty hard, and especially this last week.

Thank you for all the favorites I have gotten as well as comments. I promise to respond and thank you personally in the near future.

I just wanted to let you know that I have not been ignoring you, and thank you for still visiting my page while I've been away <3

I resubscribed so keeping up will definitely be easier now, but don't expect a whole lot.

I have some new works but I'm not entirely sure I want to submit them here. I am just repeatedly disappointed by a lack of response in what I submit, and then angered by the things that do get attention around here. I probably won't submit a whole lot at all anymore, but I will do my best to keep up with those of you I admire

A very very good painting, btw. Not my most favorite of subjects but that's what happens when you work in a bookstore for a HP release.

Moving on.

I was reading her description

"It makes me sad when people say that anime artists can't draw realism ;<

Seems like discrimination to me..."

So I loved that I read comments like "YEAH that's SO not fair I can draw good realism AND good anime and I get nagged at all the time!!!!111". Or "YEAH -insert someone's name or profession- just ASSUMED all I draw is anime! UGH I hate that!"

So what is in type 1's gallery?
-Crappy anime
-No realism, nor anything resembling an attempt

In type 2's?
-Slightly better anime, but nothing that would ever get you anywhere.
-Actually, NOTHING other than anime.

"I hate how elitist the fine arts world can be"

Well maybe if you all shutup and backed up what you were saying, the fine artists would leave you alone.

Do you think Picasso would have been as accepted as he had been if he had not been able to show he had an understanding of realism? Did you think he just spit out cubist psychotic paintings and was a hit?

Uhm...no.

Of course there are anime artists who can draw realism. And you can tell who they are because they (almost always) draw good anime. Why do they draw good anime? Because in order to draw anything that stylized you have to have an understanding of how things are in reality. (Unless you're me who just can't draw anime at all despite having a decent understanding of realism). Otherwise everything just looks plain screwed up.

People are so dumb.

I just don't want to go.

So, the school's art show was last night.

Cheesecakeliciousness and brownies. Yum-O.

But in more serious matters, I had a nice THREE boards this year. Though they were a little more sparse than last year's, there was no way I could've gotten everything on two, so better to have some more negative space I suppose.

I love you. Thank you for being there for me through all of this. You have no idea how truly grateful I am for everything you've done for me. Your presence at the show last night meant more to me than anyone else's ever could.

A while back I said I'd post the explanation for the series of three acrylics I did. I finally typed it up (didn't have a choice, for the art show at my school), so I figured since it's on the PC I may as well post it. Even though it's..horribly late...

The self-absorption in one’s problems leads to the loss of recognition of others and their feelings...so they begin to make lies to cover what they can no longer see. But when people stop speaking the truth, they no longer have a voice to those who used to listen. Without a voice and without the ability to see, there’s nothing left but a world devoid of communication- a world bereft of contact and interaction. You cease to exist in the eyes of those who cared, and in respect to their lives, you have died.


Thank you. You made college a reasonable possibility for me. You enabled me to gain wonderful recognition in my art.
